Friday is finally here and it’s gorgeous outside! Is there a better feeling heading into the weekend?

Searching for some things to do? We’ve put together a few fun options for you. Whether you’re looking for some family fun, an afternoon with your ladies, or ideas for a date night.

The Cameron
We suggest trying the newly renovated Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club! They have put together a nice space for families to dine and play. Run by Belmont, visit here for some food and drinks on a nice patio while the kids play. There are tons of activities here! They’ve only been open for a few days, and we’ve heard the atmosphere is that of a summer camp for adults!

Location: 176 Cameron Avenue

The Canadian Tulip Festival
Starting today running until May 21st, there will be a variety of tulip experiences around central Ottawa. Take a stroll through the parks for tulips, tasty treats, live music and soak up the sunshine. The Tulip Fest always makes a nice afternoon out for any occasion, and a great way to see some of downtown Ottawa if you’re new to the city!

P.S. this is a great idea for something fun to do on Mother’s Day!

Location: Central Ottawa

Purchase Tickets here. Some events are free.

Ottawa Comiccon
Another fun even starting today, running until this Sunday is the Ottawa Comiccon. Dress as your favourite character and maybe you will even have the chance to meet some of the special guests; Jason Mamoa from Aquaman, Karl Urban from Star Trek (2009) or Matt Smith from Doctor Who.

Location: EY Centre

Purchase Tickets here.

Eat, Drink, Spring on the Farm
This Saturday and Sunday, this year’s Spring edition of the Ottawa Wine and Food Festival is outdoors at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum. There will be farm-to-table producers, winemakers, craft brewers, distillers, live music and tons of other activities and workshops! Bring the whole family here as there is something for everyone.
